Open at Your Own Wisk!

Using a DoveArt Studios rubber stamp I have created the card.  The stamps I chose are called Web Background and Haunting Sentiment Set

You couldn't get more of a simple card with a giggle at Halloween.  Simply stamp the web...you can even emboss...don't worry about coloring unless you are "in the mood".  Stamp the sentiment and broom and color it up...BAM!  SO easy.  I used Wood paper and ribbon loops to hold the "door plank" for the latch.  EASY!  Would be a fun party invite with info on the inside.  If you aren't into Halloween then why don't you switch it up to a kitchen card...I have lots of idea in my head...stuck!

Sweetness Overload

This sweet image is by Sweet Pea Stamps.  It is called Little Blossom and is by Conie Fong.  I love the colors orange and blue together so I thought i would color her up in my favorite colors and create this very simple card.  One of the highlights in the hair is wrong...I am not going to point it out, but you can tell me if you see it.  Sorry no prizes for pointing out my mistakes, Ha Ha.  Get your stamp or digi from Sweet Pea.  There are so many different artist to choose from.

Mama's Boy

I love it when the kids are young and still act like they need you...then they go through those wretched teen years when they don't...then once they get their senses back you are important again.  Thus is life!  Here is a cute little guy from the latest Little Darling release.  I used him to make this simple little Mom's day card.  I used one of my favorite color combos using pattern papers...I love orange and blue or orange and green...I could use this combo all day long.  You can find this stamp in the store HERE.

***Please note that I color using the lightest color first, dark, medium and back to light.  I only slightly blend the edge of the last color placed.  Then add the shadow.

If you miss one of the combo's you can find it on the side of the blog labeled "Color of The Day".  Please realize that your computer screen and printer can change the way you see it or how the colors print, but if you try it yourself you will get some fun combos...promise!

Also, feel free to pin them.  I ask that you do not sell them printed out, do not place them on your personal blog but rather link to mine.  These are for personal use only.   Leave me some love if you want to see more!

Heading into Spring

How about a little action.  Here is a cute little Tiddly Inks sweet girl.  I did a penny slider card so she moves across the card making it look like she is heading into spring.  It is really easy to make a penny slider card, I have linked to a site below that has nice instructions.  Have fun!  WEEEEEEEE!

Good Luck!

Make it Crafty is at it again with another great challenge.  This one is "cast Shadows"  I am not completely happy with this...but with that said I do like the shadows from their hands.  Something isn't quite right....I think its the shadows at the front of her dress and the front of his pants...but sometimes you just got to let it go.  I hope you can join in on the fun one of these days, and as you can see you don't have to be perfect...just have fun!

Paper Testing Creation - Asp Tips

I have been working on this for the last 3 days...between baby's naps.  3 days later here is the end result.  I used a NEW to me paper that I was experimenting with.  Wan't to hear about the paper?  You can find info below...You KNOW I love testing papers!  This piece measures 4" x 8"
Have you tried Copic Writeable Cover Sketchbook?  UMMM..well you should.  It is a lightweight paper, but heavier then copier paper.   It goes through the printer so nicely.   It is a good weight for handling ink and even though it showed through on the backside (but who is looking?), it didn't bleed onto the paper underneath with general blending.  It took lots of ink, but because of the tight woven paper didn't bleed outside of the lines.  I will use this more in the future.  It is spiral bound and comes in two sizes.

NEW RELEASE and FAB HOP!

Welcome to a super exciting hop.  We have some fun announcements to make and I hope you will join us on this special day.
Today we are announcing not only a NEW release, a NEW inspirational blog, a NEW Facebook page, but also a new DoveArt-istic Design team.  We have tons of inspiration for you with some tantalizing, delicious creations and of course some prizes to give away too.

First I would love to share with you a couple of places you will want to look at.  Here is where you can meet all of the fantastic, talented, lovely ladies I am proud to have as the DoveArt-istic Design team.  You can read all about them HERE.

If you love creative minds and DoveArt Studios designs you will want to subscribe to the DoveArt Studios blog HERE.  If you feel you love Facebook more you can follow the Facebook group DoveArt Studios HERE.

Now I would like to show you what I have created for the new DoveArt Studios July release.  Once you have gotten your fill of me...hop love to the next DoveArt-istic Design team member to meet them and see what they have created.

I created a card using Winter Cardinals.  I love how the dots already show where possible shading could be.  It takes the work out of figuring out light source.

I added Glass glitter to the snow on the branch and cut out one of the cardinals to make it popped up.
It was a simple but sweet card to make and perfect for winter.

All of DoveArt Studios beautiful rubber stamps can now be purchased immediately.  You can see where to buy at the link on the blog HERE to find the quickest links or locations.  Some of the stores around you just might carry the stamps, or you can ask them to get them in too.

New rubber stamps include candles, pine cone bough, cardinals, a chickadee, Christmas horns, and angel, a beautiful ornament background, and winter pines.  All are perfect for Christmas and many other occasions too!

Now please join us in welcoming the DoveArt-istic DT.  Comment on all blog for two chances to win a NEW RELEASE DoveArt Studios stamp.  Random names will be drawn on 3rd.  You can check back at DoveArt Studios blog for the name of the winners.
